Overview
I served as the front-end developer for RagaKita, a startup platform designed to simplify the process of booking soccer and futsal fields across Indonesia. Built using modern web frameworks, the platform enables users to:
Browse available venues with up-to-date scheduling and availability
View venue details including field type, pricing, and location
Reserve slots with real-time confirmation
Make secure online payments through integrated gateways
My responsibilities included crafting an intuitive UI/UX, developing responsive interfaces for both mobile and desktop users, and integrating front-end components with the backend booking and payment APIs.
Findings
Seamless User Experience Is Key
Inspired by prototypes like Sportsable and Gosport, I prioritized clear navigation and easy booking flows, resulting in fewer booking drop-offs and positive user feedback.
Responsive Design Matters
With over 70% mobile usage in Indonesia, ensuring responsiveness was essential. The platform dynamically adapts to various screen sizes, echoing best practices in sports booking apps .Real-Time Availability Sync
Implementing live availability checks and instant booking confirmation required efficient API handling and optimistic UI updates, reducing double-bookings and reservation conflicts.Integrated Payment Workflow
We adopted secure payment gateways following established booking systems; integrating this smoothly in the UI improved transaction success and reduced user hesitation.Modular & Scalable Front-End Architecture
Components such as calendar pickers, venue cards, and payment handlers were built for reuse, supporting future expansions like multi-sport capabilities and user profiles.
My role as front-end lead for RagaKita allowed me to harmonize user needs with technical implementation, creating a smooth, visually appealing booking experience for sports venues. This SaaS-style solution demonstrates front-end proficiency, user-centric design, and readiness to scale in Indonesia’s vibrant sport-tech ecosystem.
