Overview

I recently participated in a high-impact competition hosted by FEB UI in partnership with Toyota, themed “Indonesia’s Economy Toward Net-Zero Emission: Maintaining a Sustainable Transition in Indonesia’s Energy and Transport Sector.” Though I didn’t win a top prize, I’m proud of the journey I shared with teammates Zahra and Tria. Our deep dive into the operations, vision, and business models of LINE Indonesia and GOKS Indonesia helped us gain a richer understanding of how companies function within Indonesia’s evolving tech landscape.

    The competition offered a behind-the-scenes look at how LINE Indonesia and GOKS design their offerings, focusing on user engagement, discount mechanics, and how they align business models to meet student and youth needs.

  • Learning From Real Business Models
    Analyzing GOKS (a Jakarta-based event and discount platform), I deepened my understanding of how partnerships with educational and promotional ecosystems drive platform adoption.

  • Skill Development Under Pressure
    Pitching in front of judges and peers sharpened my ability to distill complex value propositions, adapt ideas on the spot, and present under pressure, a crucial skill in business competitions.

  • Constructive Feedback is a Catalyst
    Referee comments and peer critiques revealed areas to improve, like deepening user personas, strengthening differentiation from competitors, and clarifying revenue models. This feedback stoked my motivation to further iterate.

  • Resilience & Growth Mindset
    Finishing outside the top three only fueled my determination. The experience reinforced the value of strategic learning, resilience, and continuous improvement in the journey to entrepreneurial impact.
